Eaton Mess
Serves 4
This is a really easy to make dessert that looks impressive!
Ingredients
3 meringue nests crushed into medium size pieces
Large pot of double cream
Punnet of fresh strawberries or tin of strawberries, drained
1 tbsp of lemon juice
Method
- If using fresh strawberries take off their tops, cut two of them in half and set aside. Cut the remainder into small pieces. Pour over the lemon juice
- Whip the cream in a large mixing bowl until you can heap it on a spoon
- Fold in the meringue
- Fold the strawberries into the cream and the meringue mixture
- Heap into individual glass bowls or big glasses, decorate with the half strawberries and enjoy
